Book Description

The original text poem was a celebration of the 8 letter codes used to identify the Lincoln School of Art’s core subjects and was inspired by a very long exam board which took place at the end of the academic year – as the students’ names and grades scrolled past on the screen, one thing was a constant on each page:

GRAGRAUB
ILLILLUB
FASFASUB

The original piece appeared as a site specific artwork, which was on display in the ProjectSpacePlus – which connects the new and old AAD buildings.

The University has since restructured, and the Art School is no more. We are instead a College of the Arts and Graphic Design is now part of the School of Architecture and Design. What was a Song has become a Requiem. But like the Phoenix, we have risen again from the ashes.
