Book Description

Pairs of near identical library catalogue cards were separated and examined for their differences.  The elements unique to the first card were letterpress printed onto a middle page before being passed between the collaborators and the elements from the second card printed onto the same page by the other person.  Throughout the process the cards were re-checked several times, and corrections made to the printed page where discrepancies were found.

 

The original cards form the first and last pages and the printed middle page becomes a visual representation of the missing words and symbols from the shared text, a conversation between the original cataloguers and the recent book collaborators.
