Book Description

Plot is the last edition in a trilogy of artists’ books produced in response to the 2021 UWE world book night theme – Herbarium. Illustrating selected items from two back gardens, Plot returns to a systems-led collaborative making process which enables each artist to employ their original design practice – MacLellan textiles and Wood typography. With a nod to the geographical location of each garden, Wood produced artwork to represent the North and East cardinal compass points and MacLellan the South and West.  These were swapped and responded to on the opposite page. A key offers an introduction to the items selected from each garden and the front cover plots the process of making by each artist.
